lage nearly dies, avoids harm

so im sitting in econ the other day, reading something in the book, and look up to see one of the large maps fall with an infernal crash, and nearly conk lage on the head. luckily, he survived with only his wits shaken. the class laughed
more importantly, was the Ankeny/Johnston dual tonight. after the jv was done (i got a pin in 2:20, and casey/emma came to watch.) the varsity got it going. we started off with some ass suckage...for quite a while, the only match we won was the 119 match, and only by 3. pretty much, we were getting raped, by the time its colton's 145 match, we only had 3 points, compared with about twenty some. colton, being such a beast, gets it done with a pin. after him, comes dan manning, who isnt quite as much as a beast, but still good...he does the job, and gets the pin. after that, however, are back to back losses from josh begg, and ed mccoy. so we're going into colt hogan's match down 15-32. the ONLY way we can win is if colt, adam, and spooner all get pins. weve got a chance, cus theyre all damn good, but its too early to celebrate. colt goes out, and his kid sucks...he man handles him for the pin. getting closer, but not there yet. cassidy's kid is ok (not really...he was kinda bad), but after about a minute or so, cassidy just handles the kid, tosses him right to his back for the pin. spooner is comming out...the whole gym is on edge... who is gonna win? spooner has to get the pin (or a forfeit) for us to win the meet. spooner handles the first period, but people are getting tense, because hes getting closer to a tech fall (not enough...we'd lose) and he isnt getting closer to the pin. however, the other kid sucks major ass, and his strategy so far has been to stall. if someone gets 6 stalling calls in one match, he is disqualified, and the other team gets 6 points (the same as for a pin) by the end of the 1st period, he has about 4. second period starts...spooner takes top. he gets around the kid, jacks him up, and whips him over...the kid is ROCKED! spooner, being an animal, STICKS the kid, and we win the meet! by 1 point...holy shit, that was close, but we got it done
